Who is the father of tourism?

Thomas Cook, the famous British businessman is known as the Father of Tourism, because of his contributions that resulted in the birth of modern tourism, beginning with the idea of a “packaged tour.” In 1855, he organized his first tours abroad, and in 1872, he embarked on his first round-the-world tour.
